Terms of Service

The terms that apply to using this website.

How this works

This is a website that connects people with vetted, consenting garage-door contractors who do the work. We do not carry out the work.

The contractor who attends is responsible for the work, the price and any guarantee.

We are not a party to the agreement between you and the contractor, and we do not supervise or inspect the work.

Using this site

Use the site to find a contractor and to send an enquiry. Do not use it to post unlawful, misleading or abusive content, or to send automated bulk requests.

The information on this site is general guidance, not professional advice about your specific door. Garage-door springs and cables are dangerous and must be worked on by a competent contractor.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice.

Quotes, prices and work

Prices are set by the contractor, not by us. No price is published on this site.

Ask the contractor to confirm the call-out fee and the rate before work starts, and ask for a written scope for anything beyond a single part.

Any guarantee or warranty is the contractor's, on the contractor's terms. Ask for it in writing.

No guarantee of price or outcome

We do not guarantee a price, an outcome, an arrival time, or that a contractor will be available for your job.

We do not guarantee that a contractor referred through this site is registered for a specific trade. Ask to see the relevant registration before work begins.

Liability

We take care in passing work to contractors who cover your area, but we are not liable for the work they do, or for any loss arising from it.

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the connection service we provide. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot be waived.

Cancellations and complaints

If a job is cancelled or a contractor does not arrive, tell us so we can follow up.

If you have a complaint about work done, raise it with the contractor first, then tell us so we can review whether to keep passing work to them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
